bought house in 1999. became ill in 2004 and could not make payments. foreclosure was started, but we negotiated with the bank and eventually got back on track with payments. We eventually sold house but credit score has been damaged. will we ever be able to get anoth home loan.
7 years ago i went through a divorce…in the divorce my ex husband got our home and a rental property…(i just wanted an end to it and really didn’t want anything from him)…the divorce orders stated on the papers that i was no longer responsible for anything on the house and my name was taken off of it…a month ago i was ok’d to buy a home…we found one and just had the inspection…now my mortgage consultant is telling me the lender found out that i have a prior foreclosure on my record…(i had no idea about this because i have never had one, and it never showed up on my credit report)…what i am finding out now is that the properties my husband got in the divorce are the ones that went into foreclosure…i am crushed right now that this might stop me from getting a home for me and my daughter!…i have mailed the divorce paperwork to my mortgage person and she is going to have an underwriter try and "excuse" it all…well, my name wasn’t on those houses?…why didn’t they show up before?…(the houses went into foreclosure in 2004)…i have no way to contact my ex husband and get an explanation as he passed away a few years ago…i feel this is nothing that i did to get denied getting a home after the bank had approved me…what can i do?…any ideas i would truly appreciate…my daughter will be crushed if i can’t get us into this home!…
to judy…nothing showed up…i have bought cars during this time, and had even gotten approved for this current home loan…now they are saying the lender found a foreclosure…even my mortgage person is baffled…
My house has been for sale for 6 months. I am struggling to make payments on everything including 00.00 worth of
debt other than my home loan. I am facing a negative equity situation even if house sells and I don’t know where I’d get the money to bring to closing if need be. My credit is perfect and I am getting married in June. I won’t need the credit so I can live with bad credit for a while if need be as we don’t plan to buy anthing together. Anything we do buy in the future will be in his name.. I do not want the bankruptcy or foreclosure to impact my husband-to-be’s credit I need to take care of this before we get married right?. It’s my problem. Not his.
What is the quickest way to a clean slate? Bankruptcy or Foreclosure? I keep hearing about people who are facing a negative equity situation and have been making timely pmts, but know they won’t be able to pay for the difference when they sell their house for less & they just stop making payments allowing foreclosure.
I’m in financial ruin and I think my only and last option is to refinance my home loan. I need the extra money to catch up on bills after changing jobs and unexpected medical expenses. (I didn’t have insurance for 6 months from changing jobs and then I was sick and had big bills) I am about to lose my home if I don’t do something quick. I believe I’ve exhausted all other options. You opionion and ideas would be great. Thanks

My father’s home is in foreclosure and it probably foreclose within a week. I would like to know how I can attain the home and recieve a home loan. I do not have anything for the down payment. I’m 20 years old and have no credit history though I have friends who would be living with me in this home with remarkable credit. Also, if I can get the home after it’s foreclosure, does my father have to sign anything to me? Really need help. Thank you.

I’m seeking help from my mortgage company to get a Modification of my home loan. I had to submitted a hardship letter 6 months ago explaining my hardship and why I need assistance from my mortgage company. They gave us a 3 months forbearance payment plan, and after that they would work on the modification, if our hardship hadn’t improve or if we still had the only one income. At that moment I had advise them that I would be applying for Social Security Disability and now they want an update on our hardship situation. But my Social Security will not start paying me until October. Is it still safe to say that I’m still not receiving any financial assistance or would it be possible for them to find out that I will be getting benefits later, but not at this time. They want me to fax them the information in now and as of now we are struggling to keep our heads above water and my husband is the only source of income for our family. Plus we have to get out of this adjustable rate and they are willing just with his income now to give us a modification.
How do I stop foreclosure on my home/shop? I live in a metal building and have 33 acres and have been unemployed over 1yr. My lender is calling the note in 18 days no one will lend to me because the building has more storage area2/3 than living1/3 will not meet requirements for home loan and if it did the property would be worth more than the home to get home loan.

My home loan is ARM and due to go up in November. The equity on this home is zero so I can’t refinance. I already spoke with my lender. Are there any other options before it goes to foreclosure? I already know we can’t afford the increase in pmts.
